Richard's career in dentistry has been marked by academic excellence and a commitment to patient care. Graduating from Newcastle University in 2010, he received the James Coltman Prize for Operative Dentistry. His professional journey led him through various specialties, including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Special Care Dentistry, and Restorative Dentistry. In 2014, Richard discovered his passion for orthodontics, which culminated in his pursuit of an MSc training program at Newcastle University. His dedication to orthodontics was further recognised with the prestigious William Houston Gold Medal from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Within the practice, you can usually find Richard meticulously planning cases and overseeing a dedicated team of therapists and nurses. The most rewarding aspect of his job? It's when patients express their love for their newly transformed smiles.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending quality time with his young family, staying physically active, and showcasing his musical talent by playing the drums in a band.
